I didn't spend an extensive period of time at the Foundry but found it to be a pretty nice alternative to the P&L and Westport's offerings.
It feels pretty swank with its sophisticated vibe but sports a low-key, informal attitude. I really enjoyed that. It's a nice in-between blend that I haven't experienced that much.
With a large beer selection and patio to match, the Foundry offers us a nicer establishment without the elitism. If you're looking for privacy, they have an upstairs VIP area you can rent or use for free with the right hookup and if there's a small crowd. I found myself liking the VIP's cozy seating arrangement and the fact they had board games and an old-school arcade machine with Galaga to entertain your crew. How cool is that?
